Founder & Lead Practitioner

Lavinia Streza, MSN, FNP-C

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Optimal Health T.C., where compassionate care meets thoughtful, science-driven medicine. From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people heal. I remember being five years old, tending a deep cut on my leg—fascinated by how the body repaired itself and sensing that this was what I was meant to do. That curiosity became a lifelong calling.

My purpose deepened after losing my mother to cancer when I was young. That experience shaped my mission: to help prevent disease before it takes hold and to empower people to change the course of their health. Later, working in intensive care and internal medicine, I saw what happens when care comes too late. Those years confirmed that my work belonged upstream—in prevention, education, and long-term wellbeing.

I earned my first master’s training in Health Education at the University of Cincinnati and completed my second master’s in Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Michigan. I later expanded my training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, Metabolic Mentor University, and the Personalized Lifestyle Institute, integrating advanced medical science with whole-person, personalized care.

Today, my approach centers on partnership. I’m not here to rush you through a checklist; I’m here to listen, interpret, and guide. At Optimal Health T.C., visits are never rushed, and solutions are never one-size-fits-all. My focus is prevention rather than reaction, depth rather than quick fixes, and long-term relationships rather than temporary band-aid solutions.

I’m especially passionate about helping those who want prevention, longevity, and a higher quality of life, including people who have felt dismissed or unheard in traditional healthcare settings. I believe people deserve more than simply surviving; they deserve the opportunity to thrive. My work is grounded in my core values of family and service, and I understand that health is physical, emotional, relational, and deeply personal. Whether I’m guiding someone through prevention, healing, or transformation, my goal is to help you feel supported, capable, and hopeful about what your body can achieve.

Above all, I want every patient to leave with one lasting belief: you don’t have to accept feeling unwell as normal. With the right partnership, guidance, and commitment, meaningful change is possible—and you don’t have to walk that journey alone.

Compassionate Care. Thoughtful, Science-Driven Medicine.

I’m Lavinia Streza, a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Optimal Health TC, where compassionate care meets thoughtful, science-driven medicine.

From a very young age, I knew I wanted to help people heal. I still remember being five years old, caring for a deep cut on my leg — fascinated by the way the body repaired itself and feeling, even then, that this was what I was meant to do. That early curiosity became a lifelong calling.

A Personal Mission Shaped by Experience

My purpose deepened in a profound way after losing my mother to cancer when I was young. That experience shaped not only my heart, but my mission: to help prevent disease before it takes hold, and to empower people to change the course of their health. Years later, working in intensive care and internal medicine strengthened that vision even more. I witnessed firsthand what happens when care comes too late — and I knew my work belonged upstream, in prevention, education, and long-term wellbeing.

Education & Clinical Foundation

I earned my first master’s training in Health Education at the University of Cincinnati and then completed my second Masters in Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Michigan, building a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and clinical excellence. I later expanded my training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, Metabolic Mentor University, and the Personalized Lifestyle Institute, allowing me to integrate advanced medical science with whole-person, personalized care.

A Partnership-Centered Approach

Today, my approach centers on partnership. I see myself not simply as a provider, but as an advocate for your wellbeing and a true ally in your health journey. I believe every person deserves a compassionate, kind, and fully present clinician — someone who listens deeply, understands their struggles, and meets them exactly where they are. Patients also deserve honesty and empathy woven into up-to-date medical knowledge and thoughtful care. At Optimal Health TC, visits are never rushed, and solutions are never one-size-fits-all. My focus is on prevention rather than reaction, depth rather than quick fixes, and building long-term relationships instead of offering temporary band-aid solutions.

Who I’m Most Passionate About Helping

I am especially passionate about helping those who seek prevention, longevity, and a higher quality of life — as well as individuals who have felt dismissed or unheard in traditional healthcare settings. I believe deeply that people deserve more than simply surviving; they deserve the opportunity to truly thrive.

Values That Guide My Care

My work is grounded in my core values of family and service. These values shape the way I show up for every patient — with warmth, resilience, and genuine care. I understand that health is not only physical, but emotional, relational, and deeply personal. Whether I’m guiding someone through prevention, healing, or transformation, my goal is always the same: to help them feel supported, capable, and hopeful about what their body can achieve.

Above all, I want every patient to leave my care with one lasting belief: you don’t have to accept feeling unwell as normal.

With the right partnership, guidance, and commitment, meaningful change is always possible — and you don’t have to walk that journey alone.

With extensive experience working closely with people, Malena coordinates appointments, manages follow-ups, and supports clear communication throughout the care process.
